Designer Profile: Francesca Aiello

Meet Francesca, a 19-year old entrepreneur from Malibu. Francesca is Owner and designer of Frankie's Bikinis. Frankie's is a now well known, worn by women all around the world. Francesca launched her own swimwear brand just two years ago, and has already become a well known and successful face in beach fashion.

Personally, I admire her success at such a young age. Her dream began at 17, when she was traveling to Hawaii to get custom bikinis made for herself. Francesca was particular about the bikinis she wore, and her friends began picking up on her good taste. "I've always been very picky about my bikinis, so I was going to Hawaii to get them custom-made, and my mom suggested I get a few for my friends while I was there. So I did and made an Instagram account...and it started blowing up."

Not only has Frankie's Bikini's taken off, the swimwear line has become extremely well known due to social media. Francesca has also masterd the art manipulating social media to her advantage; Frankie's Bikini's has over 450k followers on instagram from all over the world, and Francesca's personal account has 134k followers.

Francesca has already released 2 beautiful and successful collections, and is currently working on her third collection for Frankie's Bikinis.

Her latest collection consists of lycra and crochet - a feminine twist combined with floral patterns, ocean inspired blue & white stripes, and plain, natural tones in beige and khaki green. Francesca and her team have produced a beautiful and conventional range of swimwear, ranging from intricate cross-back one-pieces to conventional over-the-shoulder strapped bikini tops - All offering great support and comfort whilst still looking graceful and girly.

Ultimately, Francesca's life inspires me because I wish I was her, being 17 and realising she had already reached success at my age has opened a completely new door for me! Traveling between California and Hawaii, Exploring tropical destinations for photoshoots, showcasing at fashion weeks like Mercedes Benz Swim Week, and most of all creating, selling, and wearing her own designs probably every day - her lifestyle is my dream.
